Sui Gas Connection

The procedure for obtaining Sui gas connection is depending on your location and set regulation by The SNGPL. By starting the Sui gas domestic connection first of all you can check the Sui Gas connection in front of your premises. If SNGPL connection available in your street and Sui Gas connection already operational in your neighbor home. Then you can apply for new Sui Gas domestic connection.

There are two categories of sui gas connection for domestics use;

Normal Connection
Special Connection

Main difference between normal connection and special connection is based on fees and time. Normal connection fee charged by the SNGPL up to 10 Marla is Rs. 6000 and above than 10 Marla is Rs. 7500.
Further if you want to special connection you can pay Rs. 25000 along with normal fee. Secondly normal connection procedure take ample time and SNGPL process application first come first serve bases. But you can enter on fast track by paying extra amount of Rs. 25000.

After you deciding about normal or special connection of Sui gas across the Pakistan following procedure will be followed:

• Submission of application for New Sui Gas Connection
• House Line Survey By SNGPL
• Proposal letter or Demand Notice served by The SNGPL
• House Line Installation
• Deposit Demand Notice
• Gas Connection
• First Sui Gas Bill
• Warning

First of all you will arrange Application form from your nearest SNGPL area office or you can download from official website of the SNGPL. This form is free of charge and easily available at office or can be downloaded through website. After arranging application form of new domestic form you can fill it and submit at your nearest SNGPL office along with following mandatory documents:

• Photocopy of Computerized National identity card (CNIC)
• Property documents i.e Fard, Registry and other legal documents to ascertain and verify the plot size.
• Photocopy of Sui Gas Bill of your Neighbor

After completing the file of new Sui gas Connection you can submit on nearest area office of SNGPL and take receipt from official of SNGPL for further reference or tracking of your application of Sui Gas connection.

By submitting the application for sui gas domestics connection, the next phase is company representative will visit your premises and prepare a operational and technical feasibility report to supply of gas connection to you. After preparing feasibility report it will submit for approval.

After approval of feasibility report Company will be issued a demand notice of security and service line charges to you on prescribe rate set by the SNGPL.
Security charges is fixed for domestic connection is Rs. 4500 and if your plot size is upto 10 Marla Rs. 1500 service line charges charged by the SNGPL and if your size of plot is above 10 Marla Rs. 3000 charged by the SNGPL of service line charges.

Now the applicant arranges house line installation from approved contractors of your region. These contractors ensure installation of line strictly in accordance with quality standards set by The SNGPL and house plan issued by the company. These contractors will also responsible for testing of the house line installed by them and ensure recommend pressure, leakage proof and untoward incident after Gas supply to applicant.

The applicant have own choice to contact the registered contractor by the SNGPL Company and to settle the amount of work. The applicant clears the payment of contractor after the house line installation and obtained a test report to him. Then he submits a report along with supply contract agreement to area office.

After installation of house line applicant visit regional office or area office or customer care center to submit contract agreement house line plan, installation certificate and CNIC copy to obtain challan form or demand notice of service charges and security charges.
The applicant deposited demand notice of service and security charges into designated Bank and take receipt for reference.

Gas Connection is available to you on first come first service basis and distribution team will lay the pipe line upto your home connection and install a meter to supply a Gas.

SNGPL shall Issued a first bill within a 45 days. If you did not receive a bill after 45 days you can visit online website (suigasebill.pk) to check and download a Sui Gas Bill.

The contractor is only authorized to charge a labor cost of house line installation and `don’t pay anything to any contractor or agent to expedite a new Sui gas connection. It’s a immoral and legally crime. It’s wastage of time and money.
